Cherry Point Estate Wines Releases Popular Cowichan Blackberry Dessert Wine to BC Liquor Stores

– Cherry Point Estate Wines' Cowichan Blackberry dessert wine has been one of Cowichan Valley’s most sought after wines since it was first released over a decade ago. In fact, the product became so popular that guests would place their name on a waiting list to try to be one of the lucky few who could purchase a case or two each year. Those were the days when the winery was only able to produce a very small amount. In the past few years Cherry Point Estate Wines has increased the amount of cases they produce to not only keep up with demand but also to produce enough to be able to distribute it province wide through the BC Liquor Stores. “We are so happy to be able to finally have this product available throughout the province,” says Cory Ursulan, General Manager of Cherry Point Estate Wines. “We see visitors each year from all over BC who would like to be able to purchase a bottle once they return home. Now we can tell those visitors to go to their local BC Liquor Store.” Cowichan Blackberry is a rich sweet fruit wine produced from luscious wild blackberries grown in the Cowichan Valley. The Cowichan First Nations people harvest the blackberries during the first two weeks of August and the resulting product is rich, sweet and juicy with a velvety mouth feel. Over the years, this product has proved to be a consistent favorite, drawing guests from around the world back to the farm time and time again as they purchase for themselves or as a special gift. While not every BC Liquor Store will have Cowichan Blackberry on hand, each store manager has the ability to order the product in upon request. To view which stores currently carry the product please visit the Vineyard’s new and improved website at www.cherrypointestatewines.com. If your local BC Liquor Store is not on that list please inquire with the store manager. Cherry Point is located in Cobble Hill B.C. just 45 minutes from Victoria. The wine shop is open everyday from 10am to 4pm for sales.
